I'm in too Johanna! But you can forget about any diving from me ... I'm still trying to rehab my left knee. It just isn't healing as easily as the 1st and no one (least of all me) knows why. Still wearing a brace, but I'll gladly ditch it for a dip in your pool :)
I'll bring a salad and something sweet for you dessert table.
Yes August 31st sounds great. I will bring a dessert too. Thank you so much for including me.
Hello Johanna,
I am in for 8/31!
I love to bake so I'll bring something sweet for all.
Thank you for the hospitality!
I would love to meet you all. Up until August 12th is busy for me. My son leaves for bootcamp on Aug 12th, but he travels back and forth to Bangor Maine to meet with his recruiter.
Sheryl, you can come to anything, anytime and anywhere here in MA!! You'll always have friends to stay with - you know that. Besides we think of you as being from NEW England, not the south!! :)
@Johanna - If you are planning a group trip ,,, I can learn to pack light and be ready quickly too! You always have such wonderful adventures ... I'm ready for one.
@Sheryl- Not if you don't want to be :)!
Hi All,
I jumped into this group and have been reading but not typing. I get so much just from the warmth you ladies share. And I am really beginning to feel this concept that unless you have a loved one in the Service you just don't understand the emotions that entails.
My son has been in since 8/10/12
He went in with a SWCC contract and has since made a detour into the fleet for 18-24 months due to a poor decision.
It has been an incredible ride for all 3 of us this last 11 months as a family, I have (much to my surprise) been immensely impressed with the Navy as an organization and couldn't hope for a better experience/career for my son.
So.....I would love to meet you ladies! You've been there, you get it
I am on the North Shore- Beverly but am always up for a little road trip :)
I am available Friday, Sat. Sundays for a meet.
That being said;
August is pretty busy for me as we are out of town the 9th-11th
and then our sailor is hoping to be home!! :)
not quite sure which weekends.
I'll pay attention to what plans are made and hopefully will be able to attend!
Thanks for being there.
