Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by Proud Navy/NYPD Mom (Donna) on October 19, 2016 at 9:25pm: Just a quick note to let you know that Johanna is willing to host a packing party for us. October's adoption is underway already. Because of family commitments I'm not able to work on an adoption this month, if someone else wants to do it just speak up!! It is short notice, however.

I was thinking perhaps we could get involved in the November adoption which will be the Christmas adoption. Anyone have any thoughts or opinions about this?

We haven't done a Christmas one in a very long time. It might be a fun time to get together -- before Thanksgiving & the busy-ness catches us.

Please let me know who is in. Thanks.

Just wanted to let you know that this group has been on a sort of hiatus for a number of years. We mostly have been keeping connected thru FB, but we want to get our group together again.

And, to all you "previous" Moms (notice I didn't say 'older'), I hope you will decide to become active again! I've missed seeing you all very much, but I have so appreciated the support you've given me over the past 3+ years. They certainly haven't been easy; in fact, I can truthfully say they have been the hardest ever in my entire life. Not even losing my Daddy and then Mom within weeks of each other has come close to the pain of losing my husband. So thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Thanks so much for the response! Mine is still in prototype and I am just waiting it out. I appreciate the help and support, believe me. I hate the thought of him being gone. I know where he is now, so it's not so bad. That's great they will be home. I am sure it is hard for you. I am here as well. I wish we could put out there for all of us to meet somewhere and have drinks or dinner? If I make something do you think people will come?
