Hello and welcome Navymassmom!! Safe travels to Chicago and graduation!! Quincy! You aren't too, too far from me ~ well depending upon the traffic. I hope you will be able to get involved with Massachusetts Navy Moms.
Welcome 5boys!! So glad to have you with us! We have several things coming up, but they aren't mine to share. So check back.
Hello everyone. I am new to this group. We are from Ashland, MA. Our oldest son left for boot camp in Jan. He is an FC and will finish A school in Great Lakes in Oct. We're all eagerly waiting for his C school orders, he is very anxious to leave GL.
Oh yes, new Moms -- if you have used your last name, you may want to consider changing your name, especially if you and your sailor share the same last name! Always good OPSEC to protect our sailors identity from anyone who snoops around on Navy for Moms (N4M). Just a suggestion.
Hi Everyone! I was looking thru the members' list of Massachusetts Navy Moms & noticed some names that I don't remember seeing before. WELCOME. Please introduce yourselves, let us know where you are in your Navy life experience & if there is anything we can do or answer for you.
We will be having a packing party coming up sometime soon. Details to follow. But by all means let us know if you are interested in a packing party, meet and greet, or whatever ...
An FYI - news update in case you missed it. Fox News announced during their 12p newscast that 1 of the others killed in Libya has been identified as being an ex-SEAL from Winchester, MA. Prayers going out to his family and friends.
Denise, I can hardly believe that it is happening again - he's being away when you go down to see him! :( Do we chalk it up to Navy planning again? I'm so glad you have a daughter-in-love to hang out with. Oh, yes, and the dogs too. Have an amazing time!!
We are headed to NY to see our son, DIL, and of course, g'daughter over the 15th. DIL is also busy planning her very first packing party! She & Matthew have always been very supportive of my involvement with MAS. Altho, my hubby said he is heading down to Matthew's "man-cave" and taking Matthew & Samantha with him!! Matthew will go, but I don't know about Samantha. She's her daddy's girl, but then there will be excitement going on upstairs & she does like to be where the action is. Love that little one! <3
ALSO, PLEASE DO NOT FORGET THE "SEW YOUR SUPPORT FOR THE TROOPS" SEWING EVENT SET FOR SEPT. 30th.
I got a nice group of volunteers from the community, but I really need some Navy Moms to show up since they are doing it for our adoptions. If anyone else doesn't sew or have a portable sewing machine (like me), perhaps we could make some snacks??
