FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hi Johanna!  I've missed seeing your posts.  I've heard about some good things happening with your sailor #1 and now #2 has gone to GL, am I right?

I am really hoping that you will make it to the packing party at Sheryl's later this month.  More info is in the discussion above:  August 2012 Packing Party -- USS Iow Jima.

Well ladies I can now share with you ...it's official my little sailor will be flying in from Italy this weekend . Very brief visit as he flies back Wednesday , but will be oh so good to see and hug him .
So happy his twin sister gets some twin time befor she heads back to school , and miles will get to see him too , only one missing is our SWCC sailor still in training .
Just wanted to share happy good news with you all :) it's like winning Gold medals this month :)

OK, Moms --- here we go!!  Our adoption for August is the USS Iwo Jima.  An amphibious warship currently somewhere in the Med.  They left on deployment in March and are about 1/2 way through.

OUR PACKING PARTY IS SET:

Saturday, August 18th, beginning at 1pm.  It will be held at Sheryl's house in Groton, MA.

See the discussion I started above for the sailors' wish list and to let us know you are coming.  Also, we hope to have a big surprise at the party - huge in fact!!  :)  So plan to be there.

Hi there .... Still here :) that's my last wkend he with kids so yes count me in . My home is available too if that helps Donna.
Have my little sailor flying in next weekend literally ,flying visit to meet girlfriends family and back to Italy Wednesday . It will be fun
