Thank you everyone. Your thoughts and prayers mean so very much to me. If you wouldn't mind praying for me today and tomorrow I would sooo appreciate it. Today are the calling hours (at the same FH we buried Dad from, Foley Hathaway in Attleboro). We will have her service out of their church tomorrow and she will be buried next to Daddy. I don't know what to say to you but thank you for being here for me. Thank you my Navy Sisters. I love you all.

Hello sisters. I am having one more "worst day of my life." My Mom died suddently this afternoon. She was in the process of having a cardiac catherterization done and died on the table. This is only 5 weeks since losing my Dad. I have never hurt this badly in my life. Please keep my family and me in your prayers. We need it so badly. Both of my sons are hurting & I can't comfort them. Thank you.

OK, HELP!!! (Yes, that is me yelling at my computer.) I got some of the packing party pictures to show up on my home page, but does anyone know how to post them here on the comment wall?

Packing Party Moms -- Elaine's picture was posted first on FaceBook, but Molly just put it on the "Molly's Adopt A Sailor" group page. She couldn't get it to rotate (& I don't know how either) but it is in 2 places. Tami make sure she sees it!

THANK YOU TO ALL THE MA NAVY MOMS for coming out and wrapping gifts and packing boxes. If you didn't make it, hopefully next time. We packed up 30 individual care packages and had such a good time. Keep an eye out, we may have to have another for this same group. Long story, so just keep an eye out for any info.
Thanks again everyone. I haven't found Elaine's pic anywhere. Time to call Molly. I'll let you know if she did post it and where it is. Anyone check the webpage? I'm headed there next before calling her.

Seems like I'm talking too much ... sorry. There are some specific items and info regarding the sailors who will benefit from our packing party in the discussion above. Note the new name - "...adopting sailors on the USS CAPE ST. GEORGE." Check it out.
Packages can be shipped individually to this group. You don't have to come to the packing party. Shipping dates need to be between Dec. 6-10 to get there on time. Contact me if you need more info.

Question to everyone: Would it be better to have our state get-togethers in a home rather than a restaurant? I've been hearing from and talking to others that with the state of the economy it is hard for some to budget a restaurant tab into their monthly budgets + gas to get somewhere. I know I'm out of work & some months it would be hard for me. If we did it in homes around the state, would that be better? Let's kick this idea around.

Coco, they lived in New Bedford, Fair Lawn and, yes, Fair Haven. They were my great-aunts and uncles and have all died now. None of their children stayed in MA. They moved mostly to RI, CT and NY. But I can remember going down and walking on the rocks that formed the hurricane wall at the end of my G-Aunt's street, that was in New Bedford. Oh the things we did as children. I don't know that I'd have let my children do that!
Yes, this will be our first grandchild. I'm so excited. Can't wait until March. I'm really hoping she is born on March 12 which was my parents' anniversary. Make it a happy day for my Mom, but then again she should really have her own day!

Guess what everyone? I'm having a granddaughter!!! After 2 boys this will be a whole new world for us. Although a baby grandson would have gotten my son's Tonka trucks, etc. out of my basement and into his where they belong!
Coco -- sorry you can't make it. I'm anxious to meet you, I don't think you are too far away. My mother's family lived in your area, but that was many, many years ago. Maybe next time.
