Hi Dee, Chelita & RyansMum!!!

I just got the email info from Huskerfan.  She is the one working on the donation of the coffee.  I've asked her to send me what the company wants and then we can decide who "qualifies" as being in the greater-Boston area.  I've sent her an email so hopefully we will hear soon.  The coffee won't get there with the rest of the items for January's adoption since shipping is this week-end, but it'll be a nice follow-up surprise for "the kids"!  I'll be back in touch with all of you as soon as I hear from her.

I'm in Chelmsford if that helps I'd be happy to accept the donation.  If it actually has to be Boston let me know and I'll have my niece accept the donation.

Does the North Shore count? If Beverly works for them I'll gladly be contact person. Let me know.

ATTN:  MOMS

Someone has been working on getting Keurig items donated for Sheryl's group (January's adoption).  Green Mountain Coffee will consider a donation of coffee but it has to be made to a greater-Boston area Mom.  (I live in Plainville, but...)

Who lives closer to Boston who would be willing to be the contact person and accept this donation??  These sailors in Dijboti  would really like some of this coffee.  I told Pat (in IL) that I thought we could pull this off.  SO....anyone out there willing and able?  Come on step up, please ... we can't let these kiddos down on something so simple!!

Hello Lorraine and welcome to Massachusetts Navy Moms!!  A packing party is when a group of moms & others (too) get together and pack care packages for the troops. Usually we pack for the "Adoption of the Month" that Molly's Adopt A Sailor has chosen.  Molly's (aka MAS) is also a group on N4M.  If we are packing for the adoption then MAS pays for the cost of shipping our packages.  The ones "adopted" are ALWAYS forward deployed & we can't adopt our own child's ship, unit, etc. because MAS is a registered non-profit.  We can choose our own group, but then we are responsible for the cost of shipping ourselves.

We haven't had a packing party in a while (HINT, HINT, EVERYONE!), but we should plan one soon.  If anyone decides they want to do a packing party it is posted here as a comment first.  Hope this answers most of your questions!!

SO glad to hear all the happy news!

Congratulations to the newly married, the newly engaged and the newly pregnant!

We were super lucky to have our Sailor home for Christmas, it was a nice break for him after finishing SAR as a freshly minted Rescue Swimmer :)

Love to you all!
