Welcome Navygirlsmom! We're here for you. I don't think there is anything any one of us hasn't experienced.
Hang on and enjoy the ride.
My son was almost 22 when he joined. He is now stationed in HI and just left on an underway.
I am hosting a Operation Write Home card making day on July 16. You are welcome to come. Please rsvp. I put the big invite last week.
Thank you all for making me feel welcome! I am proud to be a new Navy Mom!
We are from Portland area (between Lansing and GR) My daughter is leaving from the Sterling Heights area,as that is where she has been living and working for the past few years. I am sure I will have lots of questions as we navigate through these next few months...
My SR is our middle child and oldest daughter she has always been so independent and adventerous! I know she will do great things! I feel so fortunate that I am excited and greatful that she is chosing this path and at 22 yrs old and I know she is ready. My heart goes out to those moms who are sending their 18 yr olds off to BC, how difficult that must be! Sending them lots of hugs!
Navygirlsmom, welcome! Good luck to your daughter on her new adventure.
Welcome Navygirlsmom! - I'm one of the Navy Moms of a daughter that Kathy B was mentioning. There's another Mom who has a Marine son, Navy son, and a daughter leaving for BC a little later this year.
Welcome to the group!!!
Hi All!
I am so excited to have found this page!! My daughter is leaving for MEPS today and will be heading for BC tomorrow! She was origionally set for October and found out 2 wks ago it was moved to July 1st! She is so ready and excited to begin this next phase...This makes it so much easier for us as her family! My daughter is 22 and has lived on her own since she was 19. It will still be an adjustment not being able to talk to her anytime I want for the next 8 weeks or so! I am so proud of her and her determination to take this step!
Navymoms has been a great support and resource for me thus far...I am excited to find other Michigan Navy moms!
Looks like there was a good turnout for Sunday's wine tasting. Great pictures!
Tysmom I had a great time at the last card making party as well! I won't be able to make the July get together, but I am hoping to make it in August. I'm sure I have some "stuff" I can bring. Thanks for putting these together.
It is nice to get tog and visit and share our story.
