Michimom, so happy you were able to talk with your son.  But, on the other hand how awful for him to come back to that.  Where is he stationed?  Did his roommates have things taken also?  Hopefully, they catch who did it.  And I know when they do they won't be with the military after that.

Michimom, it's so sad that a sailor would do this to another sailor.  I hope they catch whoever did this.

Happy for you that he's coming home to visit!  Like Dunesmom says, hug 'em tight and leave marks!

Very happy mom here!  My son returned last week from his first deployment.  He couldn't tell us much about what he did, but he did say he loved Singapore and hopes to go back there.  And, he will be coming home in July for a visit one year to the day from when he left from his last visit.  One thing he is NOT happy about was that several rooms in his barracks, including his, were broken into while he was deployed. Apparently no security cameras. He thinks he lost about $3000 worth of stuff (including his tv [pretty big!] and Xbox), but he's still checking.  Whoever broke into his room had to get past two key-card access doors and they broke into his locked closet with a crowbar. The situation is being investigated.  Hope they can figure out who did this and really throw the book at them!

On a happier note, looking forward to the wine tasting next week.  :)

Colleen, praying her trip goes well. Tennessee is a very nice place to visit and you can get there in a day! I hope your daughter keeps in touch as I know you'll be missing her big time!

I've asked Uli to come and she's checking her calendar. She is interested!

I have added Regina and Marianne to the list!!

I have Kathy, Teri, Traci, Lisa, Lorraine, Karen, Wendy, Regina, Marianne, and myself. I have not heard back from the mom I met at the chiropractor office. Not sure how often she checks her E-mail. Still, we will meet there and not put a deposit down. I am not much of a drinker either, I have to watch it due to a medical condition. I am sure they have other drinks to choose from. :)

Sharon-K's Mom - Did you include me in the count for the 29?  I'm planning on being there and looking forward to it!

Colleen: Tears, I understand. Seeing the car go must have been the hardest.

I have been unfriended by the girl, and my son has not said anything....his brother said he bought a motorcycle, I knew it was over hmmmm....when they are adults you can suggest but not tell.....we kinda avoided the subject when I was in HI.

Colleen:....one more thing...a good thing....you have a new place to visit...I love Tennessee.

Good morning all!

tysmom-I too hope your son waits.  I understand the "lonely" but the undoing is not easy.

Yvette-hope you get to hear his voice soon.

Lorraine-glad you got to hear your son's voice yesterday.  Will be interested in hearing what your son decides to do.  Mine is now in until 2016.

Well, our daughter left for TN this morning at 4:45 to start her new life.  Dad & I welled up with tears.  Can't believe it.  That car was packed tight!  I even took a picture of the back of her car as it was going down the street.  I think I need to go for a run.  Sniff.
