Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Picking up our daughter from the airport on Sun. She has been in Montana for the past 8 days skiing. I guess she thought there was not enough snow here. Texted her about the "blizzard" on Wed and she responded "Big Deal" Montana had 23" overnight on Mon. No thank you. I know her and her friends had fun, and it was nice having the house to just me and my husband but it will be good to have her home.

Ruth, hope your ankle is better. If you do need surgery at least you have the summer off to recoup. Hope the bus drivers aren't too shaken up. One thing to be in an accident by yourself another to have all those kids with you. My husband was able to take down the Christmas decor outside today. I am surprised it didn't blow away yesterday with all the high wind we had.

We also got about 8". I'm glad our Grand Rapids ladies didn't suffer this time. It amazes me that the weather in this state can be so different just an hour or two away. I've been listening to the weather channel and Monday does not sound good in D.C. But I can still hope! Michimom, it is still possible for Detroit to break that record, but I sure hope Grand Rapids doesn't get that much more snow!

Hi ladies, here in Sterling Heights we had about 8 inches. Hard to guess with all the drifts. I snowblowed the driveway and part of the sidewalks. The sidewalks the drifts were past my knees and the snowblower was not going thru--very heavy and wet snow. It would be cool to break the record, but I am ready for some warmth.
Lorraine, have fun in DC--bring back the warmth if they have it.

Kim - have you considered taking Northland to 10 Mile to Belmont, which takes you to Jupiter, to Plainfield? A little slower, but less traffic and you keep moving. You end up by Lowe's. Just a thought. Michimom, we need around 19: to set the record. I believe GR is at 112" now.

Colleen, I always take Northland to Plainfield to Coit when it snows. Today, everyone else did, too, because of the accidents on 131. With all the snow we've had this year, you'd think we'd all be used to driving in it by now, right? Once I got past 10 Mile, it was bumper to bumper. Guess they were all jumping off the expressway. On the positive side, I do have daffodil shoots pushing up out of the ground!!! YAAAY.

We got our fair share of snow here. Only 3 more inches of snow this season and we will match the record for snowiest winter. I'm not crazy about it at all, but as long as we're so close, I would love for us to break the record. We don't even have to get it all at once!

Dunesmom, south and east of here got slammed! I just got done talking to our tax guy in Brighton and he got 10"!
Have I mentioned lately that I hate winter? GR got about 2". But there's gonna be snow Fri.night into Sat. and snow again on Tues. & Wed. What is it with Tues. & Wed with snow? And I can't believe how cold it's gonna get tonight. -12 wind chill. Enough already!

I"m sorry but what are you girls talking about? Snow? what snow? we had a few sprinkles of rain yesterday but this morning was just fine. really we were very lucky over here by the lake. Glad we had school and very glad you all are nice and safe.
