Yep, Lori, you read that right.  I'm just this side of crazy!  Ask Dunesmom.  I had to do something, this weather the past couple of months has not been good for jogging outdoors.  The older I get, the more afraid I am of falling down and breaking something.  There are no malls around here, so until this crap snow & ice melts, Meijer it is!

Colleen, did I read that right.  You jog in Meijers?  I know they power walk in the Mall by my house and believe me get out of their way.  I was a manager in one of the stores and early in the a.m. they were out in full force.  Good for you--keep up the workouts.

Dunesmom, it was my sons b'day also 3/8.  And he is 23 too.  He just got back to his home port.  He had duty when they pulled in but was off on his b'day.  We had a long talk, which was really nice.  It was his first time out on the sub and had a lot to say or should I say not say. lol  He would hem and haw when I would ask a question and then I would say oh yeah you can't say.  At least he said he thought it was cool and he sounded very happy.  I am getting together a box to send him for his b'day.  He said there really was nothing he needed.  I did buy him sheets.  The same that he has on his bed here--a little of home. I know and understand about the kleenex and feeling down.  There are good and bad days. And now I need the kleenex.  Have a great day ladies spring is coming.

Dunesmom - Big hug for you.....and Happy Birthday to your son!  It's amazing the range of emotions we have in such a moment.

So here I sit at three in the morning.  Just talked to my Son who is celebrating his 23 birthday.  and I do mean celebrating with about 20 other friends in the back yard around the fire.  Wow was he blabby.  yes you all know what i'm doing now, just can't seem to stop the tears.  Some days it's pretty rough with missing him to the moon.  I know you all feel the same.  Thanks for listening(reading, lol) Ok who has go those Kleenex?

Michimom, keep emailing him.  My son told me that they can still read email even though there are times that they can't email back.

Ok when do we leave for FL?

Comment by Dunesmom on March 6, 2014 at 4:39pm

I'm IN!!!!!

Hang in there Michimom.  Hope you hear his voice soon.

Back to Dunesmom's idea of a warm get together - how about Florida?!  My Mom lives 6 houses off of A1A.  Cross A1A and you are on the beach.  You can walk for miles in the warm sunshine.  Toes in the sand.  Ahhhhhh.  I'm afraid to ask her!
