Yup, gonna take some time to get used to the new look.

I have to laugh:  we still have our Christmas decorations up, but, no, we don't turn them on.  The ones in the lawn are frozen in place, and it's too scary to try to get the lights down with all the snow and ice around.  Just hoping we get them down by Easter.  LOL

Haven't heard from my sailor since January 8, but I keep sending emails every so often.  I know that no news is good news, but I sure would love SOME news.  Sigh.

Whoa!  Now I know what you all were talking about.  This new look is gonna take some time to get used to.  My computer is up and running again.  Apparently there was a virus of some sort that my anti-virus detected and the anti-virus software stopped the computer from trying to connect to the internet.  Good thing.  Last time we had a virus it was bad.  Good note - 30's by Friday!  Do I smell snow melting?!

Sat night I got a text from my son who is stationed in HI to tell me he was headed to Groton the next day for school. My first thought is "Hey I can go visit him", but he may only be there a short time....so that may not be a possibility.....we will see...road trip....he is driving to Groton as I write this...

Yes Christina you must enjoy that weather down there for all of us.  and sure wouldn't mind if you brought back like 10* with you to share:).  the snowman video was on facebook, but maybe youtube would have it too?  The sun is shining and about to head out for a nice birthday dinner given by hubbies Auntie.  She is the best, always making everyone feel so special.  Enjoy your Sunday Everyone;)

Dunesmom, Sign me up for the warm weather state get together. My hubby is out snowblowing. Ugh.

Christina, please bring back the warm weather.

I never had any luck with the navy speak.

Where can I find the video of the snowman beat down. Someone by my house dressed up their snowman to look like a hula dancer. Also, I understand that Christmas decorations are still on some houses because of all the snow and ice and you can't get them down but really do you still need to turn them on.  It is March now.  Have a great Sunday everyone.

I just tried a couple words in Navy Speak and seldom have any luck. I typed in MCPON and it gave a response. Maybe it works best with acronyms. I tried Dolphins, which is what a submariner gets after they qualify and nothing came back.

Christina, you have our permission to enjoy those warm temps for all of us :-) And please do bring some back.

Dunesmom, I'm with you. There ought to be a Navy mom gathering in a warm spot every winter. The video of the snowman's head being knocked off gave me a laugh too.

I hate to post bad news but me and my hubby are in San Antonio this weekend visiting our son and it is amazing here. I got sweaty today walking around at the river walk but did not complain one bit! I will try to bring some warm air home with us Monday.
