Ruth, sorry about the friend, prayers for him and his family. Where are you that had storms last night?? I'm in lower NW and no storms at all. Sharon good luck to your son, I lived for "mail call" while my son was in BC. He is home now, leaves for Sasebo Japan on Oct. 5 for 3 years.

Our son left for GL yesterday. To be honest I didnt think it would be this hard. I thought I was prepared, but NOT! We have tears since he hugged us before getting on the bus for the airport. I was doing good until he turned to me and was crying! Then we all lost it! He was able to call us and his girlfriend a few times before getting to the base. We got "the call" about 8:30 P.M. and it wasn't long as we knew it wouldn't be. Now the waiting and counting the days begins.

Prayers for the family that hubby was injured. How sad for so many have been injured and killed. Senseless!

Ruth, thanks. Heard from my son that he will be leaving for his A school in Charleston tomorrow! Judging by the exclamation points in his message, I'd say he's really happy. Yay!

No storm damage for us, but that thunder and rain woke me (and the dog) up around 4 a.m.

Ruth, I will keep the young man in our prayers. We just heard of a boy from our area who was injured also. It's just too many for too long now.
All of you with storm damage will be in prayers also. You would think this was Spring not Fall but hey it's MICHIGAN
Love to all.....Paulette

It sounds like we are all having a very busy time with our children. Maybe it will calm down with the fall coming, but then Christmas is only 3 months away.

Hello, all. My son, who's in the THU right now, should be heading down to SC in about a week or so (we hope!) for Nuke School. I think then we'll feel like things will be really getting started for him, since he was injured during boot camp and things were delayed.

It's fun with the PIR groups, but I like the idea of being part of the Michigan Moms group!

Ruth, I love your sons posting. He really has a great way of thinking it out. I hope the best for him.

My son will be going to the Navy clinic in Sasebo. He's coming home Monday, we are meeting a friend at Sawyer, MI and bringing him home. He flies out of Chicago on Oct. 5 so we'll have a few days. He has lots of friends he wants to see too.

Hope everyone is doing well. My son was home for a short visit, only 5 days, as he is going back to the Middle East very soon. It sure was wonderful to see him.
