Just spent your first day with our "sailor". PIR was awesome today. Can't wait for tomorrow.

Hi ladies - just reading your comments and my son is in Gulfport too. He's a CM. We were able to visit him over the fourth of July.

Kathryn, did your son graduate a school from Gulfport? My son is headed there Tuesday for Seabee BU.

Just heard from my sailor, he passed test 9 in Hospital Corps school with an 86. He's dreading test 10 on Tuesday it's all math and his Michigan school didn't prepare him for that. But I have faith in him that he'll do fine. Graduation is Tuesday, Aug 31, his dad and I and maybe a couple of his friends are looking forward to attending.

Thanks Lorraine, we are pretty proud of him. He has his career planned out, he knows he wants to become an Officer after A school. He is a great kid with a good head on his shoulders. We have no doubt he will do wonderful things.

Sharon, Congrats for your son going in the Nuke program. My son is in prototype now and almost thru the program. He did A school and power school in Goose Creek, now he's in New York. The Navy has done wonders for my son. Good luck to you and your sailor!

I'll keep Katie in my prayers. Our oldest daughter went thru the college thing (not the add'l ROTC consideration), but it was tough enough. I'll pray for patience for you as well - we as parents live thru this with them.
