Hello.  I am from the Big Rapids area.  My daughter has been in since July 2012.  I am a former Navy Wife but find being a Navy Mom is a lot harder that expected.  The picture is from last year when she was home on leave :) I think it would be nice to try to get a group of us together to meet.

Colleen, it's good to hear your update and that the family had a great time in DC.
Great trip, Kathy B.

Hi to all you new Navy Moms!  I'm in Rockford.

Kathy & Lorraine, glad to hear you had fabulous times with your loved ones.  Kathy, it looks like the wind was REALLY blowing!  I can't believe it was almost a month ago that we were in DC watching my Sailor get his bachelors and getting to see my daughter!  What a fun time we had walking all over DC!  We have to go back.  So much to see.  The Navy Memorial is wonderful.  Did you know that your Sailors can enter themselves into a data base so future generations can look them up?!  If someone from the past isn't in the system, they can be added.  I'm going to work on getting my father-in-law, Grandpa and his brother into it.  Next week marks 6 yrs. my son has been in.  1 yr. and 1 more deployment to go.   Everyone have a great 4th of July!  God Bless America!

It was so hard to leave my little cuties in Maine. But we chose to drive across NH and VT where we saw some beautiful sights, had good food, and learned some revolutionary war history. Stayed in Albany NY last night and heading to Niagara Falls today. Rained hard overnight, but we should be good today.

MarianneKT'sMom... Of course we went to Zac's for ice cream!!!:-) and my daughter said to tell yours that the almonds were delicious! I was so proud of her as she drove us back across the Mighty Mac! She told me " I just want to say I've done it. Take my picture while I'm driving." Dad wouldn't let her drive over as there was a high wind warning but no problems on the way back!

Navygirlsmom... Glad your home made it through the tornado ok. We have seen lots of clips of the churches and the rest of your town on the news. Glad to hear that the Summer Fest is still going on today.

Lorraine... Have a great time with your family and your travels!!

Its official... She has papers in hand. Daughter will enter the Navy as an E-3 due to her completion of JROTC!! :-)

I'm in Maine with my sailor's family so I don't keep up well when traveling. Enjoying the grandkids and got to hug my sailor. A Navy mom from AZ is traveling with me. We leave tomorrow and head back home via Niagara Falls. We visited Nubble Lighthouse today.
Welcome Jolanera23 and abookie.
I'm seeing Ionia mentioned by some so next time we have a meetup in Battle Creek, come join us.
