While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Lorraine - glad to hear your Sailor is back to work and you are back in MI. How's this stupid weather by you?
Yvette - Dishwashers sure have improved! That was the best story I've heard in a long time! Enjoy having him home.
Prayers for my aunt, please. She fell and shattered her femur. Had surgery to put in a plate and 9 pins to hold what bone was left, together.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving if I don't get back on by then. Has anyone heard from Ruth? CathieRenee?

Marianne, I'm sure you were excited to attend KT's homecoming. One of her fellow sailors was on the Kalamazoo news station tonight for surprising his son at school.
Yvette, thanks for asking about my sailor. He is back to work on light duty and expects orders after the first of the year. lanie is in Michigan visiting her folks and we will get to see her and Kale before they go back. The pregnancy is going well and it won't be long now. Not sure if Scott will be home at all for the holidays.
For everyone seeing their sailors in November and December, enjoy! I love hearing about your visits.

Good Morning, Michigan Mommas! I know I don't get in here much, but I just wanted to share this, and to maybe ask for a few prayers. My Sailor is coming back from a 9 month deployment on the USS Roosevelt. We are leaving today for Jacksonville FL to greet the ship in on Sunday. Please say some prayers that we get out of this snow safely! I am so excited, I can barely contain myself. We haven't seen him since September of 2013. Will share photos when we get back from Florida. Have a blessed and safe Thanksgiving with your families.

Good morning all!
Yesterday my husband text me and wondered if I was home....he had a delivery coming...what is coming...a dishwasher...I was less than happy...there is NO room in our kitchen...I was crabbing to my friend and a van pulled in...I thought it was a lady bringing bagels for our food ministry...and there stood my SON!!!! Yep they all pulled one over on me!!!
Except. Tuesday my sailor was asking how the weather was, the driving and what was I doing tomorrow...and I text him, Are you coming home tomorrow??? Who me??? And I said to him that I would have to fast and furious clean the house.....
I am on a painting/varnishing my house project...and the dining room is being worked on. I frog taped in the am and I bought a quart of paint...the piano and other stuff are in the middle of the room. While he slept I painted and my other son helped me with other stuff.
He is here till Thanksgiving Day!!!
I wonder how many dishes he will wash??? lol
