Ruth...DEMERITS for saying the "snow" word!
My son has the Expert Marksmans ribbons for both rifle and pistol. He has discovered that he likes shooting. We're still waiting to see if his leave will be approved. It's 20 months now since the last time he was home.

Sharon, my son was 19 going on 20 when he went to BC in 2009. I always felt like I'd given him a lot of freedom but he was still anxious to exert his independence. So don't stress about this change in his life - the Navy will take good care of Diego! And God will be watching over you both the entire time.

You are all so funny................the stories you share make me laugh and right now I need to do that. I am getting stressed that we have less than 30 days to go. I want things to go smooth and work out great for Diego. He has been on vacation in Hilton Head, S.C. all week, due home tomorrow evening to watch his younger brother play in his first varsity football game. Hubby will be there as we have to split things again as I have a cousin's wedding reception. I pray that God take this stress away and put peace there instead. Keep the stories coming!!!!

Ruth, my son qualified as Sharp Shooter, so I was happy all those years playing X-box finally paid off, haha. We are loving the cooler weather too. I'm sending you a PM too.

Ruth, that is so great! I talked with my son last night. He is doing wonderful, adjusting to MS weather ok. He is placing first in his class so far. He says he has no plans on letting up on the group either. He dreams of a cool Michigan night.

Ruth, you have a great marksman in the family. Now knock off that talk about "snow clouds." :-)

Welcome Cheryl S. Hope to meet you sometime at a Michigan meet and greet. We just had one in Muskegon. I think anyone can set something up. I'm in middle lower Michigan about 30 miles north of Indiana.

Diego's friend, Ryan is heading to BC on Wednesday. We went to their house tonight for a bit to spend some time with them. He and his mom are pretty stressed, she is not ready to let him go. Diego will go to the hotel tomorrow night and go to dinner with them and help Ryan not be so stressed. Ryan's mom is not much for computers, I have tried to get her to come here. Ry's girlfriend may join us, I told her that it would help her so much. We will see. Diego has one month before he heads to BC. He got a new Recruiter and she has changed things that we were told we could do. We are pretty bummed that we won't be doing what we thought we could, but we will get through it. The month will fly by and it will be my turn to share that my son is in BC.
