Stennis Homecoming was wonderful even from Hawaii and San Diego, my little tiger got off there sick tho. only lasted 24 hours so we were lucky.

Would love to do the gettogether but as has been mentioned before...St. Pat's day is tough but will see what I can do if it is the only day that works for the group.

My Stennis sailor is on her way to MN tonight, she stayed in Cali with her hubby for her first week home and is going to spend her second week here -

The time with her on the homecoming was also short, only reason we got to see her there was because her brother was sick and she said she needed to hand deliver him to his momma!!! gotta love it.  She was scheduled for duty all day and did not find out until that morning.

I can make it on 3/17 -- and probably 3/24.  I'm a delegate at the Republican Convention which is 3/24 but I think it will be done by noon.

JJ, The quietness of gliding over the ocean and into the mountains sounds wonderful.  I've not done that; however, my husband and I did go for a hot air balloon ride ove the mountains and valleys in Utah.  That was something I was able to cross off my bucket list.

This Sunday is the day for my sailor's adventure of going down in a shark's cage.  Of course I happened to turn TV on yesterday while I was cooking dinner and what did they have on TV???!!!! A Jaws movie.  Not a good idea for me to watch that movie when my son will be going down in a shark's cage!!

I am thrilled for all his new adventures.

NavyMOMX3...I would do that in a heart beat!  While we were in Hawaii one of the things I did do was the glider ride. It was awesome. The quietness of gliding over the ocean and into the mountains was something that I won't forget. Nothing like seeing the beauty of Hawaii from the air. One more thing on my "bucket list" that I can check off.

JJ, my sailor is at Pearl Harbor.  He called today and was all excited because today he went whale watching and next weekend he is planning on going down in a shark cage!!!!  Eegads!!!  I'd jump at the whale watching but the idea of going down in a shark cage sounds kind of scary to me!!

Darn, If I would have known that,   I would have called him! What base is he at?

We had such a good time in Honolulu, but hated the traffic! Made a wrong turn one day and ended up at the wrong base. I have no idea how we did that. Wait a minute: we did have "Samantha' (our GPS) giving directions and sometimes she has a way of ending up in places where good looking men are!  LOL  She got an update while we were on Oahu and hopefully she will behave from now on. (Had to have a little humor in this message this morning.)

I forgot to add that my sailor is stationed in Hawaii.

I'm sorry I missed this one.  Last month my MIL came with me and she wants to come again when it fits into our schedule.  I am the queen of my red hat chapter and we had our monthly FunFest the same day as the Navy Mom's luncheon.

Perhaps we'll be able to attend March's.  We are moving in March so we'll see how our move goes and maybe she and I can attend.

I love all the happy smiles on your faces!!

I want to thank Carol and Julie for joining me at Buffalo Wild Wings today.  It was nice to get caught up on our kids, talk about the Tigar Cruise that Carol's husband is on and chat about the "newly-weds" and garnd baby of Julie's. They on the other hand, had to endure my bragging rights of Grand baby Kate and Eric Robert as well as looking at some pictures taken in Hawaii.  Thanks again, ladies.  Here is the picture of the happy threesome!
