Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

MN_MOM,

Hi!!!  I'm not sure what or how this happened but I just got an email notification that you joined my group Moms of Daughters 2!!!  But when I check your profile page I see where you joined back in Sept of 2013!!!  But somehow I didn't get the notification and therefore never sent you a personal welcome message.  I apologize!!!  I'm guessing your daughter has been in for at least a year???  I would still like to invite you to join our postings on the group page and let us get to know you and your sailor.  We aren't just a supportive group of moms for those bootcamp days but for all the lives and times of our sailor girls.  And feel free to brag!!!!!!  We love to hear about our girls and all that they are doing!!!!

Check out Basic Medical Technician Corpsman Program Facebook Page. The Rating Information Card for HM can be found at https://www.cool.navy.mil/enlisted/rating_info_cards/hm.pdf; it indicates 19 weeks, but "A" School is 14 weeks after classing up. Your Sailor will most likely fly out to "A" School the day after PIR. See PIR Day and Liberty During PIR Weekend to help you know how to plan your weekend.

I see you have joined your PIR group; I also invite you to join Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) and to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) there. Take care and blessings to you and yours.

Hello, Jodjar!  My daughter is also in ship 14 div 399.  If you are on facebook, please join the division 399 group I have started, where we can get to know about each other and our SRs, and start making plans to see our sailors in October!
