Karen H., I will keep my ears open for info, also.  Haven't heard of any church at this point.  It is fantastic that your son received "MN Love".

Mrs. Andy yes I am from the twin cities area.  I have not been on this site for awhile I have been following closely on FB my son's ship. He mentioned Bloomington when we last spoke and I thought someone from this group might know of the church.

He is on the USS Cape St. George.  He did not have much information other than it was sent from a church in Bloomington Minnesota.  Thank you.  I so much want to send a thank you.  It comes at a perfect time.  We have had some hard times and I am thankful for their help. Not to mention worring about son while on deployment.

I wanted to ask if anyone knows what church sent care packages to my sons ship?  They were a church from Bloomington Minnesota.  I wanted to send a thank you.

Thank You Mrs. Andy for making the arrangements.  That is a very easy place to find, food was good, the fellowship was great!   I definately look forward to the next time seeing all of you.

Enjoy Hawaii JJ! I hope to make the next get together.

My son was in Norfolk before he got stationed in Hawaii. We always flew into Newport News since the flights were cheaper, the rental car pickup is just across the walkway and we didn't have to drive through all the downtown traffic. Too bad you didn't ask several months ago, then I could have said, "Yes, I do"!  Eric Robert had bought a house in Portsmouth when he moved there.  Liked the neighborhood, just a few blocks from Chesapeek Bay. Always had a great time when we were there. Wish I would have known.  Is you son aboard ship or doing land duty?

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has a son/daughter in Norfolk at this time?

Our son has been in for a year and was sent to Norfolk in Aug 2011.

Mrs. Andy...thank you for hosting the luncheon yesterday.  It was exactly what I needed.  It was great meeting you all.  I'm looking forward to next month!
