OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Have to look it up.  I just got home and on line.

Sorry that you can't make it tls.  Where is your job (if I may ask).

Soooo bummed I won't be able to make lunch ... now or for awhile, it seems.  Unless we change the day, anyway ... just started a new part-time job and am scheduled to work every Saturday from 12-4.  Maybe after a couple of months under my belt, I can arrange to switch with someone once a month for our meetings ----

The September Get together has been posted!!  Now that the younger kids are back in school, the State Fair is over and we are getting used to the cooer temperatures, it is now time to get together with our Navy Mom friends.  Hope this gets posted soon enough to fit it into your schedule. Can't wait to see everyone! The more that merrier.

Becky...That's so funny!!!  Sounds as though you will fit in just fine.  Anytime you have question about anything, just let one of us know and we will come up with an answer. It might take you a while to get to know us, so take it one step at a time.  I feel that it is just nice to get out of the house and NOT think about anything except having a good time with other Navy moms.  We have all been "in the beginning" with each and everyone of our kids. The separation can be hard on "first time" moms, not knowing what is happening with our kids, not knowing where they are, or where they are going. Remember with this sight, you CAN NOT give out information about your child (last name, location, etc). The Navy is all about security of our Nation. So, if there is something that you need to know quickly, you can always send any one of us a message by hitting the picture (like mine at the left) and it will send you over to the members home page where you can find the "send message" under the photo.  We are all here for you. We all want you to feel comfortable and there isn't anything you can ask that we might not have heard before. We will even work with you so you can remember where you live and how old your son is!!  LOL  Have a great day.

JJ
