Time to remind everyone that our Luncheon at Northtown in Blaine, MN is this Saturday.  See above "August 20th, 2011".  So if there is anyone in the area that is interested...just show up!  We would love to see you.

Personally, I can't wait to catch up and relax for a few hours!  It is always great to hear what's happening in everyone's life and hear about all our kids.  See you on Saturday.

Hi, Lauritz.

Glad to hear from you and know that the boys are doing well.  We just watched my 3 grand kids, 5, 3, and 1, for 4 days.  They do have energy!!

My sailor has left.  I'd appreciate any and all prayers for him and the rest.

Have a great night.

So, I am back in town.  However, my sister is coming up that weekend.  Now I have to try and free the 20th.

My sailor left on deployment .

Hoping that there will be lots of moms at the luncheon on the 20th of August.  There has been many of us that haven't been together for a long time and hope that we can clear our schedules to make some time for old friends and maybe some new ones as well.  Bring cameras and pictures!!

Thanks.  It sounds good, and I want to try it.

Lasagna in the slow cooker was actually pretty easy.  I'm at the beach right now and don't have the exact recipe with me ... can post later if anyone is interested.  I used a small slow cooker so I wouldn't make too much.  I think it was a 1 1/2 qt.  I sprayed it with cooking oil first and put a good amount of sauce in the bottom.  I broke up 2 lasagna noodles (uncooked) into about 1# pieces and placed on the sauce.  Then I added a layer of cheese (motz mixed with cottage).  Then repeated the layers.  It cooked for 4 hours on low.

Tonight I'm trying burgers and green beans ... I don't know ... we'll see what happens ... could be a bust.

Two of our three sons are grillers also, so have given my husband some new pointers.

I love grilling because my husband does it, and I don't have to cook then :)

I'll hope for you, too, MN.

Our grill is a charcoal one, which we love, but any day it could fall apart.  We are a 12 month grill family also.

How do you do lasagna in the slow cooker?  That sounds good.

We are going to take the grand kids to pizza.  After they are all gone back home we won't be able to go out for a while :)
