DavesMom, I am coming from Mankato, and was really hoping we could find a location closer to southern, or eastern metro area. I need to be in Woodbury later that afternoon.
If I can put my 2 cents in I would say southern or eastern side of the Cities. Bloomington, Burnsville, Egan, even Chaska or Minnetonka. Poor Richards Common House in Bloomington, Chili's between Shakopee/Savage area, we have been to these places before. I have been to the Roasted Pear in Apple Valley. I have also been to a perkins and several other places off France in Edina. I am not sure I would drive that far north to 35w/D which is about a 2 hour drive for me, then try to maneuver my way across the cities. Anyone else have thoughts or suggestions?
I'm glad that a couple of you can make it. This weekend I'll find a location for us to meet and post it here when it's set. We used to meet at Perkins on County Road D and I 35W. I'll try there first as I have to work until 12:30 on the 23rd and I could get there by 1:00. Hope that location still works for the rest of you. Happy 240th Independence Day!
If you get a message to accept me as "Your Friend" on the Navvy 4 Moms site...it is just because I am starting all over again! I am still trying to correct my email address on this site. Sometimes I get messages and sometimes I don't because some of those go to my old email address. thanks for being so understanding in this matter.
What a bummer JJ, I thought I had responed to that July 23 lunch idea, which will be a good date for me. But it must have gotten lost somewhere in the posting. Anyway things are busy here in so MN. Love the cooler weather tho.
I just signed on only to find out that I lost all my contacts for my Navy Moms plus I had an awful time finding this page! When someone writes a message, I haven't been getting them either. I thought that I was gonna loss it right here and now! Yipes! Many times when someone leaves a message or comment it goes to my old email address. I just checked that email address and I had a dozen of comments there from Navy Moms. I don't understand what's going on so, if I don't answer, it might be that it's going to the wrong address. And how was your day?? LOL
July 23 sounds good! You are so lucky to be going on a Tiger Cruise! A time to celebrate as well as lunch! Works for me!!
JJ, I'm so sorry. A reminder that life is too short. (((NMH))) Some of the moms on the fb page were talking about a lunch on July 16th. Personally, I can't make it, but once plans are set maybe someone will post here. If anyone is interested in July 23rd I'd be willing to set something up somewhere for a 1:00pm lunch. Let me know. I'm going on a Tiger Cruise in a few months and am soooooo stoked to see my Sailor and have that incredible experience!
Things have been going well this summer. Except for the fact that my school friend of 55+ years passed away and the funeral was today. It was pretty sad and I could hardly make it through the entire thing. Other than that, I may be needing a Navy Mom Fix soon!! Its been too long. Thanks for checking in. How about the rest of you?
