My son left for the Navy the day after Mother's Day in 2009. He has been doing well and we are very proud of him.  He is a MM in the NUKES program.  We haven't seen him since he graduated from NNPTC in S.C.  He just recently started another school in NY area.  We as well as he are hoping he will be home for a week when this schooling is done in a few months.  He has matured so much since being in the Navy.

Julie, I'm so sorry that we haven't seen you for a while.  I'm still checking my calendars.  It is the start of our Spring break, and we are trying to figure out when to go see the parents.  Did I tell you my mother in law fell last month and broke her arm?  She is alright, but we need to see her if possible.

Have fun with your cousins.  That's neat that you get together.

MN Linda....Post the Get together on the top (click on Start Discussion) and list it like the others.  Sometimes we forget to look back on this site and by the time the get together comes around, we have forgotten all about it.

Today, I am sounding a lot like Mae West!!  If nothing else, the husband says it sounds sexy.  Gee, I wish I felt that way!  (LOL) Not happenin' today.   I have the date written down on the calendar.  Hope for a big turn out and a lot of fun!!  Bring pictures!!

I am putting the Chili's Saturday  March 26  date on my calendar.

Will also check with the mom from Eagle Lake to be able to come up

together.  Thanks for arranging this.

I just called Chili's near 394 x 100.  They said that being there from 1-4pm is no problem at all -- in fact great time for them.

So I made reservations for Saturday, March 26 and to expect 6-10 people and they put it down as Navy Moms.

Hope everyone will be able to make it.

JJ --- Sorry you had a rough day ... hope you're feeling better - emotionally AND physically.  Jaime got word that her orders to Japan were cancelled the day before the earthquake hit.  Initially, I was disappointed but am now a bit relieved.  Looks like she'll be stateside in Tennessee for awhile.  Hoping that she may be home for her "after A-school leave" at our next lunch!  Chili's sounds GREAT, as long as they don't mind us hanging out for a bit!

Robin...welcome back to the group!  It has been a long time.  We have missed you. It is very true that the safest place to be during a Tsunami is on the ocean! The waves don't get really big until they are close to shore. Too bad that Phil didn't get to stop in Hawaii.  It is so beautiful there. Maybe on the way back.

Eric Robert is someplace in the Middle East. Yesterady I had a really bad day and cried for the first tiime in a long time. But that was after watching the show about the bombing of the USS Cole back in 2000(?). I am thinking that I shouldn't be watching the Military Chanel. Ted has been home sick for a few days and now he is sharing with me! Yuck.
