Thanks ... I just moved to Minnesota, so EVERYTHING is new ... my daughter leaving, this state, etc.  But when they say "Minnesota Nice", they mean it.  I LOVE it here!  Can't wait for the get-together in January --- I will definitely try to be there!!

Welcome Cindy and tls.  We are glad that you found us here.  As JJ said, don't hesitate to ask your questions.

Welcome!  There are many moms from the northern suburbs so make sure you check into the Get-togethers we try to have monthly! Get to know the other moms and have a great time.  Any questions that you might have, someone will be able to answer them. Welcome aboard.

HI ALL --- I am a Navy Mom whose daughter left for boot camp on 12/08.  PIR is scheduled for 02/11/11, even though they are WAY behind with starting training (she was still on day 1-1 as of 12/24).  Found this group and just wanted to say HI ---- I live in the northern suburbs of Minneapolis ...

Lauritz...My son also spent some time in Bahrain and he LOVED it!  The husband and I also went to Bahrain (for a visit). It is an very interesting place since it looks just like any city in the States except it has a lot of sand and palm trees sprinkled in. American cars everywhere and most people speak English. Nathan will love it and the lamb chops are awesome!  They are much cheaper there, about the same price as a burger here. Once a Navy Mom, always a Navy Mom.

With so many of our heroes away from home again this Christmas, I am sending out special prayers for them. Whether our heroes are close to home, home or far, far away, they are all in our hearts and thoughts. We are so very proud of each and every one of them!  God Bless and Merry Christmas to all.

Lauritz, thanks for the update.  Glad they are all doing well.

We are enjoying our sailor for a few more days.  Have taken the whirlwind visit with the out of state relatives.  Now he is trying to get in some friend time.

Blessings to all.

Merry Christmas!!

Good for him, Juli!!!

JJ, the lights are on and now I can just sit and look at them.  Now I have to get the classroom gifts done.  Actually, when it's all done I love it!

Carol....one more reason that I don't put decorations up!!  LOL  Good luck with the lights.   Personally, I just look across the street...the neighbors have a beautiful tree and it looks awesome!  You know, if you celebrated Christmas in January, everything would be on sale.

Congrats to your son, Juli.

JJ, I'm trying to put lights on our tree and it isn't going well.  Already had to send dear husband out to get another strand!!!!
