I was going to try to make it Saturday but don't know because our youngest son has try-outs from 2-4. You do it monthly correct? For those of you who have done the PIR thing, any hotel recommendations? Did you drive or fly?

Recieved an awesome picture of Eric on deck with Baby Kate!! Will bring it to the get together. It is a very POWERFUL photo. I only wished that Eric had his uniform on. I will take whatever I can get at this point.

Good for you! Start planning for the 24th. The PIR is a great experience.

We got "the letter" today! I feel so much better. His tone sounded good even though he's been there 3 days and slept 6 hours. He said the food is really good:-) You wouldn't know it by looking at him, but he likes to eat. He said he loved us...so good to read that! Graduates 9/24.

My other son opened the box, so I wasn't too emotional. It hit me with his first real letter, I was home alone, and I cried, and then a commercial came on for Navy4Moms. It's a wonder that I even paid attention to the commercial and figured it out! :) That's the day I started. It's been great!

Wow! I remember when Spencer went through BC. It was 3 years ago August 1. Times flies. I remember being in the place where I wanted more info and couldn't get any. And when that box showed up - I didn't know it was coming. It must have slipped my mind. I opened it and realized what was in it!!! Thank goodness for this website - I belong to a couple different groups and all of them have helped me through the process. I still have questions and still come to the different groups to get my questions answered.
