RobinM, good news about your mother. I'm glad she is doing better, and hopefully, the doctor will give her some good advise (like the water).

Thanks,RobinM! Oh... I think you hit the nail on the head... I think I'm crying for me, too. Where'd my baby go? I'm not ready to be an empty-nester! LOL! Kris will be going to Pensacola for IT "A" School. Hopefully we'll get to go down there and visit him. It would be nice to get out of Minnesota this time of year. ;)

Carol, Thanks for the welcome! I'm glad he will have the time as a DEPper so he'll learn a lot before going to BC. Where is your Sailor?

Hello! My son is in DEP and leaving August 18th for boot camp. He's going to be an IT. His dad and I were both in the Navy and we are very proud of our son for joining. Even though I've been through it personally, I'm so nervous and have shed many a tear already and I have months to go. This is going to be a milestone year for all of us! ;)

We also got 2 calls this week from our sailor. The first one cut off too soon, but it was good to hear from him.
Another great gift, this summer, God willing, we will welcome our 3rd grandchild. We got the news on Christmas day. This time they wanted to tell us in person.
They told our sailor first, because he gets to be godfather. He was excited, (right NM?)!
We had a great Christmas with my family and got to see my mother-in-law, who is holding her own. Now we are home safely, and it's catch up time.
Happy New Year to you all. Be safe, and Enjoy!!
