Teresa, I'm glad you had a great time. Did you imagine a couple of years ago that you might plan a Christmas trip to CT?

JJ, I am not seeing information about a meet and greet in August...only July.

How exciting! He must be good at what he does. Did he go through bc right out of high school or did he go later?

Thanks all. I am excited to be connected to other moms who value their child's commitment to the military. It's even better that there is a group from Minnesota. I am originally from Shakopee, but transplanted up to the Walker area about ten years ago. Love it here, but miss the convenience of the cities.

I am excited that my son ended up with someone he already knew, but realize this is relatively short lived. The other young man is on a SAR contract. My understanding is that the whole pre-BUDs and BUDs deal is a day by day, week by week deal. I can't wait to see what his future holds.

Linda, submariners are a tight group. My uncle was in charge of a sub many many years ago. He still goes to crew reunions almost annually. One his way to another as we speak. How long was your son's A school?

Julie, what does your son do on the Nimitz? How long has he been in?

Hi,

I am new to the MN group. My son is in bc with a PIR date of 9/3. He is on a SEAL contract. My son's bunkmate is also from MN. They were in DEP together. Are there any other MN moms going to PIR on 9/3? How about any MN moms of SEALs?

Hi everybody! FINALLY all my company has gone and Ted and I are alone once again. Having company at my home since the 16th of last month has been a real challange to say the least. Eric has started his "classes" once again. He calls them classes, I call it training!! That should only last about a week. He is always doing something with the Navy. If not in Virginia, California, or sometimes overseas. On the go....see the world in the Navy!!
***Diane's mom is still caring for her since she continues to have the headaches, with weakness and dizziness from the Meningitis. She has a full schedule of doctors' appointments for this entire week, still trying to discover how they are going to handle her recovery. I thank the good Lord that her mom is there to help with the baby. I am sure that it is a relief for Eric as well, since he is unable to be there full time. I think that he has a week off starting the 12th, so he is hoping that some answers will coming from the specialists. I have a feeling it is going to be a long process.
I am hoping that we can have another Meet and Greet before long. It is always so much fun and getting to know the other moms is always very special.

You will make it if Ryan goes. We will help. Glad Nathan is back and Corey is finished. God bless them all.
