Thanks, Carolyn. We need to be reminded of that. I just read a little book of Life Lessons of Fathers to Sons. The last says: "In the end, Let him go." So fitting for any child.

Please look at the meet/greet may 30 above and let me know if you can attend. I only have a couple actual confirmed coming, and want to make sure that I have everyone included that wants to come.
Thanks!

Lorie, I know the feeling. My son left at the beginning of the month on his first cruise. We watched it on the webcam, too. It's neat that we can do at least that much. His first deployment is coming up soon, but I hope that his leave is still on before that. God bless.

HELP....I guess I don't understand just HOW to get my messages on this site. When I get a message that someone has responded to me, I get an email that tells me to go to THIS site. So, here I am but there isn't a message here. I am confused. I see at the top there is a Meet/Greet; Tags; and another Meet/Greet but none of those are what I want. So, I need help understanding just WHERE to read the comments. Thanks everybody. I am sure that one of you will have the answer to help me through this.

Becky,
I am going to guess that "the desert" may be Kuwait. If he is in Special Forces, that is usually where the Navy sends them for extra training. As with my son, that is where they sent him (although he didn't stay in one place very long to start with). He is an officer and has a lot of duties that need to be addressed on a moments notice. So in the first two months after he was deployed, he was in Kuwait, Afghanistan, Bahrain, back to Afghanistan, back to the US, then back to Afghanistan, over to Germany, and now back to Afghanistan. Confusing to remember it all, but at this point in time, I am just happy that he is in one place for more than a week or two! LOL I, too, will say that his fiancee will not be recieving anything since she is NOT a spouse, yet. As moms, we worry about all the little things as well as the big things, it's our job as a mom! So, worry just a little and hope and pray a lot for his saftey and well being. There are a lot of others that are next to him, doing the same things. Some of us moms have been through this many times while others have never been through this deployment thing, and still others are "first-times". Here is my advise: "Give thanks about yesterday, think about today and pray about tomorrow". There are a lot of other moms here that are willing to help you through some difficult times. All you have to do is ask.

I am really looking forward to a Meet and Greet in the Twin Cities area. Seems that it would be a great location. But would ride a few extra miles to meet others in the area!

Hello Ladies - Just a reminder again to go to the discussion up top. I am trying to get together a meet/greet the end of May, and looking for people that might be interested in getting together. I am looking to final up some details this week.
