I am taking a Biblical research class that weekend Fri-Sun. What a bummer, I feel like I've been out of the loop with you ladies for months now. We (Mankato area Navy moms)have talked about lunch sometime, but no date set.
See the above discussion for January 18th. I reserved us space for 1pm. I can always reschedule if no one can make it, I know it's short notice.
Congratulations, Karen!
Congrats to yur sailor, KarenH!!
Barb....Keep posted for get togethers. We are a nice bunch of Moms. I am gonna guess that you have been watching the weather, so you know that yesterday (Monday) all schools were closed because of the cold weather. Temps in the morning were -24 with wind chills of -45. But since this IS Minnesota, the temps will be nearing 35 degrees by the weekend. Never know what you're gonna get from one day to another! LOL But by the time you get back here it will be wonderful. Don't you miss the crunching of frozen snow under your tires? Or trying to get your car started, or scraping your windshield? Ahhhh...Winter in Minnesota.
This year will be awesome for everyone! We are hoping for the best.
Hello, friends. Thank you for the nice welcome about month ago. I can't find that I ever posted anything, I'm sorry about that. My son is currently waiting for a-school to begin in Pensacola.
I am Minnesota, but not currently in Minnesota. I hope that is OK!! Born and raised in MN, I now live in Japan, but we are in MN one year out of every 5. We will be back in the frozen tundra after the school year finishes in June this year.
I do read all your notes as they come into my e-mail account, but I don't get on the site and post very often. Now that Christmas is over, maybe I'll find myself on here more.
It would be great to get together with you all when we get back on US soil!
Love this site and the wealth of information and encouragement through all of you!
Amanda....Since you bought it up.....Yes! Why don't you set something up? I think that everyone needs to have a Navy-Mom fix. I am sure tht everyone has something to share about their Holiday.
Happy New Year, Navy Moms! Hope you've all had a wonderful holiday season. Ours was nice, albeit without our sailor and his lovely bride. Coming on the heels of their late Oct. wedding the budget just wouldn't allow another trip. But it's comforting to know that they have each other and made some special 1st Christmas memories of their own. Hope to see you soon!
