Wreaths Across the Nation is this Saturday!  Fort Snelling Cemetery has their ceramony at 11:00 a.m. at the main flag pole. Wreaths will be placed at the gravesites. If you haven't been out there during Christmas, please find time to do that.  If you would like to order wreaths for the ocassion, Tim from the Flowerama (763-755-7100) will be taking a large number of wreaths out there on Thursday night.  Just mention that you are a Navy Mom and he will take good care of you. The wreaths that he has a 24-26" with cones and a bow. People will be out there to lay the wreaths for you.

I am originally from EGF, now live in Duluth.  You'll have to message me and give me your name.  See if we know each other?!

Wish I had known about the European Fest. don't know if I would have ventured out in the snow,New Prague about an hour away. My son will be home the same time, til the 9th. Can't wait to see him!

Yes Debbie, I would like to see it be done with snow after the holidays too.  I spent the day in New Prague with my Minnesota Sno Flakes at the European Festival.   Travel there and back was not fun, but this was the last craft show I have planned for the year.   I will be glad to catch up on the etsy orders, and sales in my shop.  Also will have 7 more days of school/work till Holiday break.  The sad part is I have off the 19-Jan 2nd, and our sailor will be home Dec 28-Jan 7th.  Wish the time overlapped better.  But we will have to take advantage of every minute we have with him here.

Thanks for the compliment regarding the photo editing.  I enjoy taking the pictures and making them fit properly when I get home so I can post them.

Hawaii is beautiful.  Must be why this will be our 7th trip there!  Leaving in March for two weeks!! As most of the Navy Moms know, my son was stationed there for three years (how time flies!) and we were able to  visit him there. We have been nearly every place he has been stationed, so my "trip log" is lengthy. I will be glad when he decides that he will be done....it's been 20 years!! I am getting too old for all these long trips to see him!!! NOT   LOL

Welcome Barb! JJ, thank you for posting the picture from the lunch, you did an excellent job on the photo editing!

My son went to another sailors family home in Utica, NY, two hours from where they are at, for Thanksgiving. He brought his four wheeler and they spent the day riding and relaxing and had a really good time. He will not be home for Christmas, but he will be driving home in January and then flying to Pearl Harbor, HI where he will join the crew of the USS Bremerton. He seems very happy with his orders. I like them too as I've never been to Hawaii:)

Welcome Aboard Barb to our group! I hope that you find that we are a nice group of ladies that wish to be of moral support and a lot of fun.  Any questions that you might have, feel free to ask and someone will know the answer or point you in the right direction. If you can attend one of our get togethers in the near future, please come and get to know us personally. We are of all ages, with kids that are in different "parts" of the Navy, different ranks, and different locations.  Something for everyone.  Once again, Welcome!

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! Our youngest got his wisdom teeth out today and our Sailor was sick around Thanksgiving. He's on a ship, but we've gotten intermittent e-mail so that has been great :-) I'm thankful for my Navy Mom's. It's nice to talk to people I know understand.
