Yahoo I heard from my son. Said it was a little breezy in Hong Kong. I wonder if they will head out to go help with the typhoon that hit near there.
He and some friends were going on a tour. So in between his talking to others, purchasing tour tickets, and I know he was eating I did manage to get somewhat of a conversation in.
He even found time to snapchat his sister and brother.
I fiqure he must try and squeeze it all in in the short time he is off the ship.
But hey I heard his voice and he was having a good time and still liking what he is doing so I can't fault him other then not talking more : )
Well, I can't wait until tomorrow to see my granddaughter, Kate, so we are leaving in a few minutes!! 22 months without seeing her or her daddy is WAY TOO LONG. I will bring pictures when we meet. Sure am glad that Eric Robert is now stationed on the mainland. That means that I can drive out there every few months. Plus I don't have to travel half way around the world to see him! The Navy sure does have a way of putting distance between moms and their kids!
I get to celebrate Kate's birthday (belated by a few days), Eric Robert's Birthday the day of, and Pat and Shane's Anniversary all at the same time! Party party party!!! Prayers to all....

I echo JJ's comment. Lauritz, you are always welcome to come to the get-togethers and to visit us here. We would love to see the wedding pictures next year, and we would love to hear updates on Ryan and Nathan and keep them in our prayers. Also, congrats on the new baby!!!
Lauritz...once a Navy Mom, ALWAYS a Navy Mom! Doesn't matter if your kids are in or out. So, please remember that we are still here for you. We are a great support group. And some times, moms just need to get away from everything and be with other moms. I love knowing that there are other moms that "JUST" want to get away from the house and be with others that are doing the same thing. Leave the hum-drum stuff at home and go to a get together.
Know that we are still here for you!
Thanks everyone for welcoming a "Wisconsinite" into your group! I sent a request for the FB page. I am so excited to meet other Navy moms! My son says most sailors he meets are from the coasts…go figure :)
That looks Yummy! And people say that when a recipe says it serves 6 or 8 it really means it serves 3 or 4! LOL I bet you loved every bite.
Way to go AmyS. We always want new moms to attend. It is so much fun to get to know others. Hope to see you soon!
mn linda, I don't see why not. If they could rsvp to the discussion here though it would be easier to keep track of how many will be coming. I've been thinking of joining that group also.
is it ok if I mention the 11/16 get together on the FB Minnesota Navy group?
