I just found out via Ted, that Eric Robert was flying in!!! I will let you know when I find out.  Does that sound like something that we moms have heard before??!!  LOL

Wow, great for them.  I loved living in Colorado Springs.  Where in the Springs?  Some day I should tell you about our first time with Castle Rock.

Just because Nathan is saying "good-bye" to the Navy doesn't get you off the hook! Once a Navy Mom, ALWAYS a Navy Mom! Thank you Nathan!

I got a call from Eric Robert tonight.  He will be on a plane to check out his NEW duty in Colorado Springs. Big changes for him, but great for Mom and Dad. We will be able to hit 2 birds with one trip! Our oldest, Patrick and his family, live in Castle Rock, CO just a few miles from Colorado Springs. 17 hours away and we can drive that easily in a day and a half....Leave he at 6:00 a.m. and be there the next afternoon!!  Works for me!!  LOL  These long trips to The Islands or half way across the world are getting a bit too much for us.  I like this much better.

I echo carol. Thank you Lauritz for sharing his cute and clever note.

Thank you Nathan!  What a cute (may I call it that) letter.  Thanks for sharing it with us.  We think that our son is re-enlisting.  Waiting to hear from him.

God Bless Nathan! Tell him thank you from me. I'm grateful to him for his commitment, sacrifices, hard work and time he gave serving in the United States Navy.

Hello fellow Minnesotans! Our son is on a ship in the middle east presently. God Bless everyone in our United States Armed Forces!

NavyMomx3, glad to hear you are doing well.

Can you say which Strike group he is with?

Our sailor is out also.  Had a brief email from his this week.  He is deciding if he should re-enlist for another 2.  Would have land duty then.

Enjoy your visit to Goose Creek, Linda.  When my sailor was stationed there, he said it felt colder in SC than in MN because the weather in SC is so damp. He said he was chilled to the bones.

I am recuperating from my surgery; saw the surgeon yesterday and he said everything is looking good!

I see my sailor posted on FB today.  Brief one word comment.  He's deployed and out in a sub somewhere out there.  Gone for several months...........
