Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

We have lunch get togethers on a Saturday - usually about once a month.  Some have been in Blaine, Bloomington, and a couple in St. Louis Park.  Anyone can set one up.

My son is a nuke currently in ELT training in Goose Creek, SC.  We are leaving tomorrow for a visit with him.

Where are the gatherings? And when? What do your kids do in the Navy?

Comment by Kelly Jo~NavyMomX3 on January 24, 2013 at 5:03pm

I have not been on here for a very long time. Sometimes when I don't keep up with Naval going ons I feel kinda like a bad mother. Since I have last been on I have had another child join the Navy and I have moved closer to the cities. I am looking forward to attending one of your gatherings so I will try harder to keep in touch with this page. Have a great day everyone and NMH's to all @->--

Lauritz, thanks for the update.  I know people in Janesville, I'm from close around there.  You are always welcome to meet with us.  Once a Navy Mom, you always are :)

NavyMomx3, I hope that your recovery is quick.

At this point I am not able to make any commitments for attending a January MN Navy Mom luncheon; I recently had some major surgery and am in the recuperating stage at home.  I'm told the recovery period will be 4 - 6 to maybe 8 weeks.  I'm pushing for 4 weeks.  Time will tell.
