Update on our Mystery Trip.....As we crossed into Iowa, the roads were the worst I have ever seen, with wind chill temperatures at 12 degrees below zero and drifting snow turning the highways into pure ice, driving became nearly impossible. With a 25 car pile-up (killing 2) just miles ahead of us, the Highway Department closed 35. Our plans were all canceled, and I spent 30 minutes on the phone canceling reservations for the rest of the trip. It was a mess. But we were not the only ones who's plans were spoiled. Streams of people came into the hotel as I was checking in. Better safe than sorry. So, now our plans will be delayed for awhile. HO HO HO And Merry Christmas to all.
Thanks for the suggestion Schafam
