DavesMom....you can't please everyone all the time, no matter how hard you try.  You are so right about finding a place in the middle of everyone since you never know who is coming and who is not. But like I have said many times, "whoever picks the place can choose whatever location they want" and hope that other Navy Moms come.

Hi MidwestNavyMom.  So happy for you that you had a chance to see your Sailor.  MN Mom of MM, I picked a central location and hope it will work out for you.  I live 40 miles north of the lunch location.  A 30 mile drive from my home is the closest that any of these lunches have ever been for me, too.  :(  I wish there was a way to make it equally convenient for all.

I haven't been on here for awhile. Sorry about your friend JJ! We just got back from seeing our sailor in Virginia! Nice trip, except lots of delays and reroutes due to the storms last night. I forget who it was but a Tiger Cruise sounds wonderful!!

Thanks for the instructions, JJ.  Done.  :)  Looking forward to seeing you again.

I have already notified the Perkins at 696 W. County Road D, New Brighton, 55112 to expect a group of us at 1:00 pm on Sat., July 23.  It is a central location very near I-35W between Hwy. 36 and I-694.  I didn't see your posts until just now MN Mom of MM and SaltyMama.  I hope you can make it. I'll post it on facebook, too, for those who weren't able to go to the get together on the 16th.

I would like to see what Lake Elmo is like.  It is more in the area I need to be later that day, and I responded to the fb page when someone posted  "we should get together again"  I said there was something being planned for the 23rd.

I live in Lake Emo and we've never had a gathering closer than 28-30 miles from my house. It's right next to Stillwater on one side and Woodbury on the other. There are plenty of restaurants over here if anyone is interested. If so, I will set something up.

The location on 35W and County Road D is a hop and skip from Highway 36.  You could take that to 694 and  head south to Woodbury...it would only take you about 20 minutes or so.  But I can see our point about driving so far north.  So many of us are on the North side...Stacy, Wyoming, Lake Elmo, Stillwater.....so you can see why the drive to Apply Valley, Shakopee, Savage area might not work for those people either. There isn't really a happy medium for all of us. I don't know that much about the Woodbury area either, so I am at a loss. Any ideas from the rest of the Navy Moms??
