We have our last HS graduation party on Saturday. Hoping the rain holds off! Congrats J Peder on your last :-) I'm looking forward to some down time next week!! Yeah boot camp graduation in January will be different than September. We were there for a September PIR too. Hard to believe that was almost four years ago! Best wishes to your graduate.

Anyone up to a July get together? (not the weekend of the fourth though)

Good morning , Minnesota families. Been busy, finally had my last HS Graduation Open House. So sick of looking at food -between going to other open houses than having ours but that shouldn't last to long : )
My son that just graduated HS is going into the Naval Reserves. He doesn't leave until Nov.  Bootcamp graduation in Jan will be so different than it was in Sept. Brrr ...His plans after bootcamp and 'A' school will be college for law enforcement. So glad when the pieces and plans fall into line.
Have a good day and stay dry its supposed to rain again : (

Hi Navy Moms.  We had a BUSY May.  My sailor and his wife were home for his big brother's college graduation.  They had 10 days packed with commitments to visit people all over the state.  I think it was a learning experience for their next visit.  I'm back to the usual busy routine with work, etc.  Our backyard pond has overflowed into the yard, but no harm done.  Sorry to hear about MN Mom of MM's wet basement.  Finished or not that is no fun.  Big congrats to your sailor, JJ!  Looking forward to seeing everyone again once vacation season settles down.

My sailor called to wish me a Happy Mothers Day and also informed me that I would become a Mother in Law in January.  They are coming back to MN in July so we have been in the midst of planning a bridal shower for mid month.  Also dealing with all the rain and a wet basement.  It was not a finished with carpet or anything basement but still need to have it dry!!!!

Hey....what happened to all my Navy Moms? Here it is the end of June and no one set up a get together.  Have we lost interest? July is coming up and I am sure that summer vacations will be on people's minds, so it will be hard to plan anything.  (Not to mention that Carol is having a birthday the first Saturday of July!) I plan on traveling to Missouri to see the Clydesdale Farm on or about the 11th.  Hope others have  some exciting things planned as well.Glad that the following people have been on in the last two months: Midwest Navy Mom, Daves Mom,MN Mom, and J Peder.

Just returned from Colorado Springs where Eric Robert was promoted to CAPTAIN.  We are just busting with pride over here!  I bet we could light up the midnight skies with our smiles. It was a beautiful ceremony and his dad and I presented him with a beautiful Spainish made sword that we had to special order for him.  Eric Robert was so surprised.  This will be something that he will treasury for the rest of his life. We are so proud! He has worked very hard for this.
