I want all my Navy Moms to know how appreciative I am for all your support and prayers!  Navy Moms Rock!!  Since they moved my surgery from the 23rd to the 30th, it sure messed up my Halloween plans.   However, I am gonna breeze right through this surgery and once they remove the mass and part (if not all) of my right kidney, the cancer will be gone with it.

I was going to a Halloween Party on Tuesday dressed as Judge Judy. But now instead of walking the Halls of Justice, I will be walking the halls at Unity in a Hospital Gown!  Thanks again for all your support.

Thanks for keeping us up-to-date JJ. Continued prayers and well wishes for you.

Welcome KJ, I wish you lived closer. We have a few Navy Mom gatherings but usually in the Twin Cities. I will post them here if you are ever able to join us :)

For my Navy Moms: Just got word that my surgery is scheduled for the 23rd of October!  They are planning to take most, if not all of my right kidney. I appreciate all your prayers. Now it will be in the surgeon's hands and with the grace of God. Recovery could be up to 8 weeks, but I am planning on 6. I have my mom preparing to stay at Walker Methodist Plaza while I am recovering.  My ducks are all in a row and I am good to go!! Happy thoughts and smiles on our faces!

Welcome to the Navy for Moms group.  If you ever have any questions, just ask.  Someone will be able to answer them, if not they will let you know where to get the right answer.

Missing our kids is part of being a mom (or dad) and this will get better as time goes on. Once again welcome!

Got some good news from JJ this morning. They think they can get all her kidney cancer out with surgery. She's waiting for a date of surgery right now and then it will be a four to six week rehab. I will keep you posted!

Hi ladies, just a request for a fellow Navy mom, JJ. She received some worrisome medical news and is seeing a specialist on Monday. She has a large mass on her kidney. Please pray for JJ for healing and strength during this ordeal. She has been taking care of her 90 something mother as well and will need to find some short-term care for her as well when she is recuperating.

I really wanted to attend, however my mom had emergency surgery on Friday and I will be home caring for her while the roofers are here fixing our roof from the hail storm that we had. I will be there in spirit!!!

Is anyone from this group going to the Stillwater get together this Saturday?
