Merry Christmas Missouri Moms! Happy visiting and skyping and phoning. Boot camp moms--it won't be long now till the BIG DAY. Hold on for a wonderful experience!
Hello Missouri and Welcome New Moms! Hang in there....PIR is not far away for either of you and oh how exciting it is when you get there!
ceej - Thanks for the pic....they look so happy and how wonderful your DIL gets to go be with her husband so quickly. Definitely a happy Christmas for them!
Hope everyone has been enjoying this holiday season. Cheers to all of you who have your sailors coming home and big HUGS to those who are apart.
Welcome tigermom and momof1navyguy! So happy to see a few more Kansas City mom's joining. Congrats on both of you in almost getting through bootcamp. I'm not that far removed from it. I swear it gets so much easier once your sailors are in A school. If you haven't installed Skype or something similar on your computer I would highly recommend it. Being able to see and talk to your son in real time makes the distance between you feel much smaller.
tigermom, feel free to friend me and send me a private e-mail if you need to talk. I'm certainly not an expert on much but if I can help you in any way, I'm available. I live north of the river close to the airport. What part of the city do you live?
tigermom..... I am also a new navy mom from KCMO.... My sons PIR is 1/17/14. Happy Holidays to you!!
God Bless to all...
Congrats Cee. What a stunning couple. How exciting she could possibly be with him on their first Christmas as husband and wife. When life settles down for you and the holidays are over would love to talk. I'm a new Navy mom in KC my SR graduates 1/3/14. Happy Holidays to everyone.
Here's a picture of the newlyweds! Wed%20Pic.jpg My sailor left for Guam on Monday and we expected that it would take a couple of months before his wife could join him but just found out that she can leave as early as this Friday so we are back in hyper-drive trying to get her ready to leave. If she can't be on a plane and ready to go before the end of December her next opportunity won't be until the end of February. I can't think of a better Christmas present for my son than to have his new bride with him.
ceej - Congrats to your Newlywed Sailor! Got any pics you'd like to share? Fingers crossed you get to take that vacation.
SandySea - Your son is becoming a world traveler! Hope he likes Japan, mine does and most sailors do like it over there.
