Good morning all.  Thanks for the invitation to join the MO group.  I am in St. Louis.  My son is waiting for his paperwork to go OTS, just waiting and waiting :).  We are excited for him - my Dad and FIL were army and air force respectively.  First Navy for the family so I have a lot to learn.

Lois--I've joined both IL and MO.  I live in Troy, IL, which is minutes from St. Louis.  Once in a blue moon there is a meet && greet in St. Louis.  However, I mostly do Metro East IL up to Springfield, Indianapolis, and others as they come up.

Happy Friday Joshmom and all Mo moms!

Joshmom- your son has been some interesting places this year. Good for him! Glad he is still liking the navy life.

Lois- you are right down the road from me! I have been to 2 luncheons on each side of the river in the past 20 months. Just watch both groups. Both have fantastic ladies!

Rest of MO--where are you and when are we lunching????

My son is in Washington state and not expecting another deployment until next year when he will go twice. He has a fiancee now, and an apartment, and a dog. He is in the aviation side of the navy and will never be on a ship unless he is assigned to a different aircraft. My daughter is a freshman at MSU in Springfield and I ( I mean she) loves it there. College is so much more fun than when I went- back in the stone age.

Happy Friday MO!

Welcome Aboard Lois - so glad you jumped over the river to join us!  Please please ask any questions or concerns you have about the Navy and any concerns your son may have.  It's a huge decision so get all the info you can.  My son has been in almost 2 years (wow time flies - doesn't really seem like he's been in that long).  He loves it!!!!  He's stationed in Japan and currently on deployment - air craft carrier.

Ok Bootcamp Momma's - how you all doing?   It's not easy to let our kids leave the nest but it's so worth it when you get to PIR!  Hang in there!!!!

And where's the rest of you?  Check in ladies - the group is very very quiet.  All I hear is crickets!!!!

Hi Missouri Moms! My daughter leaves for RTC 9/10. She's been a Depper since Jan. Can't believe it's time for her to leave, it snuck up on me! She's Aircrew and will be going to Pensacola. Oh, we're in the KC area too!

Hope you all & your loved ones are doing well!
