FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Good morning MO! I have been in CA for the past couple of weeks. So glad to see activity on here. Michele I will be emailing you soon. My computer crashed so it is hit and miss when I can use my daughters. I am looking forward to meeting you all very soon!

hi, haven't been on for awhile. My son just finished boot camp HOO yah!!:) Now he leaves for Pennsacola today. Can't wait for the call to get his new address. Looking forward to be able to communicate. This last couple of months has been really hard as you all know since you've gone thru it already. I do have to say, don't know how I would made it without Navy For Moms!!!

Welcome Nikosmom, I don't think we are will close i'm from New Haven area. My son is doing BS21 tonight so I can't sleep, very excited and can't wait for the SAILOR CALL!!!!!!!!!!:) So I'm packing and paying bills. good luck and we will keep in touch.

Michele--so far that has only shown up on 4Troops page--it's not on the Sheldon's concert list. I"m only home for a minute--been and will be in meetings all day.
