OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

HI Lynn. I live just outside of St. Louis. My son is not on a ship but maybe we can still have lunch sometime. I am always game to meet Navy families. I will send you a friend request.

Belinda, I am in Springfield, Missouri. At least for the time being. If I do not find a job here in Springfield, I will probably move to Nebraska to be close to my Navy son.

I have had a great week visiting with my Navy son. I have to say goodbye tomorrow and head for home. Home is not a good place because I was given the news before I left for vacation that my job was being eliminated along with 43 other people.
