So happy to hear from you ladies!

Carol - enjoy that Florida sunshine and warm weather! It's turned cold here...snowing yesterday...miss it don't ya?!! LOL I'm sure not!

Sandy - best of luck to both your kids. You've got a lot to be proud of...sounds like both of them are on a great path in life. A huge thank you to your son for his service to our country and again I wish him & his wife much success in the civilian world. Wow it doesn't seem like our kids have been in 4 years already. I'm so glad I got to meet you and hope our paths cross again some day.

My son decided he wasn't ready to get out of the Navy and re-up'd for another 4. But these next 4 he'll be stateside...yay for me! His ship left Japan in the spring and is slowly making it's way to it's new home port in Virginia. The hubby & I are going to the Homecoming and I can't tell you how excited I am...I think I'm more excited for this than PIR! I finally get to see the ship he's called home for the past 3 years plus it gets better...he's coming home for the holidays!!! This will be his first Christmas home since joining the Navy. Yep life is good!

Take care everyone and have a Blessed and Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello there Missouri Moms---especially the Carols!  How are you, your sailors, and your families? My sailor is finishing up his 4 years and will be moving to Indiana with his lovely wife.  Serving in aviation on a huge plane, he has never been on a ship even once!  He has been deployed for several months each to 3 different continents and been on training assignments for several weeks in two places in the States.  It has been the experience of a lifetime for sure, but he is ready to return to the midwest and pursue his education.  We got to visit him and his wife in the PNW last November and that was an absolutely beautiful trip even in November.  My daughter was acceepted into the nursing school at MSU.  She loves the clinicals but the classwork is very challenging and stressful.  One and a half years to go. How are you all doing????

Hi there. Sorry but the laptop was refusing to open N4M due to a virus. All cleaned up--but had to wait a while till our sailor was available to fix me up. However, we are doing the snow bird scene in FL right now. House still for sale in IL.

momofnm - Welcome!  Unfortunately this group has become almost extinct but I keep hoping that someday we'll have moms that like to chit chat and get this group going again. Did anyone out there hear that?!!!  LOL  Thank your son for joining the Navy and I wish him all the best in bootcamp.  My son was in bc during Thanksgiving and Christmas too but that was 4 years ago wow time flies!  If you got any questions, need to vent, or want to share your pride please please stay in touch.  I'm down the road from you in Farmington.  Again, welcome!

Not a very active group here, but looking other Missouri moms. My son left for bootcamp 11/10 and PIR is 1/8/2016. I know he left St Louis with several other guys and girls. Not sure if those mom's are on here.

Jesusintheboat - Congrats to your son on his graduation.  Hope you were able to make PIR.  Good luck to your son in school - hope he classes up soon. My son also did his A school in Florida - Pensacola.  We enjoyed going down there to visit.
