hello joshmom- I got that call last Friday!  It was great to hear her voice!  Thanks and I will let you know how it goes and post pics.  Can we actually give them hugs?  Someone was saying that we have to keep our distance due to PDA while in uniform.  Is that right?

Good Morning Everyone!  Feeling a little ducky down my way...4 1/2" inches of rain yesterday!  Felt like I floated into work this morning.

leigh - WooHoo PIR!   Have you got the "I'm a Sailor call" yet?  That's an awesome phone call.  Have a safe trip, a wonderful time at PIR and get plenty of Sailor hugs (can never get too many of those) and don't forget the tissues!  This is such an exciting time.  Doing the Happy Dance for ya!!!!

Hope everyone has a great week!

I found out about this same thing last night.  It was on the Mom's of Navy Divers Group.  If anyone is interested, they are taking donations, see the following:

Last week we lost two of our divers during a training session in Maryland. One of the divers leaves two young daughters. They have set up a fund to get divers to the funerals to support the families as well as give the balances to the families. Please go to: www.youcaring.com/other/help-us-get-there-/44965 to help.

ceej - That is so sad.  My heart aches for those families.  Prayers being said.

I wasn't sure how widespread the news coverage has been so I wanted to make sure that all of the Missouri Moms were aware that we lost a young sailor last week who grew up in Kansas City,  He was a Navy diver and was killed in a training accident with another young sailor from Ohio.  I don't know the family personally and I don't know if any of his family are members of this group.  If they are my deepest condolences in your loss.

Good to see you proud2. Great news on the Sailor.

Hope you all are having a great weekend. I see some sunshine which is a very nice thing to see. Now if we just had a lot more snow or warm weather. This in between stuff is for the birds.

Good morning MO moms!!!!  Sorry it has been so long since my last check in, things here have been very crazy.  Kids sick, hubby sick, and of course myself sick.  Plus we have been working on putting in a workshop.  Almost finished with work shop then on to bigger and better things to come.  My sailor is taking his GM test in March and if he passes the he will offiicially be 3rd class PO  woo hoo so excited for him.  He and his wife are now in an apartment in SD and doing great.  He loves being on ship and enjoying SD area.  We did not get any snow last week but had about 1" of freezing rain, sleet and ice  yeah us!!!!! Hope everyone has a great rest of the week and a great weekend.
