Welcome JoplinMom!  I'm from the other side of the state but on here we're all one....supporting our kids who are scattered all over the world.  Best of luck to your son in bootcamp!

NavyMom5.7 - you need to check in and tell us how PIR went! Love to hear those graduation stories and where's your daughter now?

Hope everyone is having a great day and hearing from your sailors!

My daughter is home from college for the summer. No luck with a summer job so keeping busy with volunteer work. Trying to dot the i's and cross the t's for nursing school applications later this year.  Sailor son and fiancee are planning a wedding--trying for September of this year.  Plans are very loose right now but hopefully it will all work out.

Joshmom-hope you get that call again soon.

Carol-be sure we see a picture of the big day.

Just got back from visiting our son after over a year of not seeing him.  Since he's getting ready for sea trials, he had the evenings off.  We did lots of nothing and lots of fun things together.  Now, fingers crossed he'll be back on land for his "reaffirmation" of his vows, aka, wedding with pictures vs their Justice of the Peace wedding to get her down to base.  We had one day with just Heather, and one evening with just Andy, and the rest of the time we were together.

Hi Carol!  I've been enjoying this good ole Misssouri humidity...lol...NOT!!!!  Actually I'm getting ready to head down to Bull Shoals Lake for a few days of fun in the sun.  Hey, we can't do anything about the heat so might as well jump in the water and stay cool!  Need some time just to relax...it seems like this summer has been so busy.  Would love to try to put together a M&G luncheon but I just haven't figured out when. Hopefully things will settle down a little and I'll throw some dates out.  Would love to see Navy moms again and meet new ones.

Son is on deployment now and this morning I missed his call...arrrrrgh!  It was one of those very early morning calls and I slept right through it.  I went to a meeting last night and turned the volume down and forgot to turn it back up...just my luck. Hoping he try's again soon.

Come on ladies let's hear from all of you!
