Happy Mother's Day to all the special mom's on here!
joshmom - Brag Away!! Love to hear great things about 'our' sailors, and Congratulations to him!!
SandySea - Oh My, Japan?? We have got to get together soon, I can't wait to hear how things are going!
boo2you2 - I am so sorry that your son is still not happy, I was hoping that he would learn to love the Navy after he got out of school....
Thank you very much... When the tornado demolished most of Joplin, MO about 3 years ago my Sailor son and I drove down with many cases of water and other items. We helped with the clean-up. That was the first one I had done, it was close to my heart because I had lived there when I was little, still have family and friends there. Many were effected. At that time, I knew that was what I am suppose to be doing.
joshmom...Congrats to your Sailor!! Bravo
tigermom.... I am happy to hear you all made it home safe and sound!
Thank you ladies for checking in. What a mess and ordeal to go through. Thanking the Lord for everyone's safety.
tigermom - enjoy this time with your sailor!
momof1navyguy - what a kind heart you have...I hope someday you get the opportunity to help out storm victims.
I want to do a little bragging....I found out this morning that my sailor made Technician of the Month on his ship....Navy Mom Proud here!!!!
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
Hi Navy moms we made it home late last night from Pensacola. What an mess. So glad to have my son home with me. They released my son for leave at 12:01 am during the night of all the original flooding. Of course nothing was keeping me from my son as soon as they let him go. I actually got stuck in water up to the bottom of our doors on the car trying to get to him. I believe God was keeping me safe. We set our alarm to leave at 3:30am for the long trip home and decided to wait tell 6 because it was still storming. It took us over 3 hours just to find a way out of Pensacola, it was really scary. Power was out most of the night and was still out when we left at 6:00 am My prayers are with everyone still down there.
I have not been on for a while. It sometimes just gets crazy.... My son is a P'cola on the Nas side. They sure were hit hard, they were all safe but took precautions. They were on lock down all day yesterday, the flooding is horrible. He said he was not worried about the tornado watch/warning as he is from MO and is used to it. The damage that the storm left behind is awful, I wish I could go help clean up. If I could that is what I would do with my life, just go help out all storm victims around the US. I hope no one here was caught in it. I have a friend that was on her honeymoon in Destin, flying out of Pensacola. Congrats to everyones Sailors whom graduated A school or BC!! HOOYAH, Navy Proud!!
tigermom - Congrats to your son on his A school graduation! PLEASE check in. P'cola got hit with severe flooding and we need to know you are all safe and got out of there before the flooding started.
Prayers for safety going out for our sailors and all the military in Pensacola during this flooding. Anyone with a sailor down there please check in!
Hi Sandy! Nice to see you here. Hope your son enjoys Japan. 45 miles closer LOL!!! You crack me up!
Hello MO Navy Moms! I haven't checked in here in so long. Things sure look different! Glad to see some new faces and old friends too. I enjoyed reading through the posts and seeing what your sailors are up to these days.
Seems like Japan is the place to be--my sailor is headed there soon. On the bright side, he will be 45 miles closer to home than he was the last time he was sent out--only in the opposite direction and still 7,000+ miles away!
I am ready for a lunch date also boo2you2. Hendel's was a long time ago.
Special "Hello" to the Carols.
Good Morning Ladies!
What a touching photo - sure hope someone recognizes this sailor and is able to get it to him. It's priceless!
