Happy Easter Everyone! Hope you all have a joyous and blessed Sunday!
Ealia111 - Welcome and Hugs to you! My son is also overseas (Japan) and yes it is definitely hard when we can't talk to them especially on holidays like today. I'm sending you a friend request.
Sorry I'm a couple days late with this but Welcome Home to the USS Truman! Any of you with sailors on this ship get to go to the homecoming? If so please share the experience. I'm sure it was an awesome sight. I'm keeping my fingers crossed I'll get to see my son's ship next year.
Again, Happy Easter and God bless you all and your sailors!
Hi my son is on the USS Blue Ridge and I miss him he visited last November but wow I never thought the oversees deployment would be so har but I am so happy for all of adventures and the work he does what ever that is top secrt lol but I just miss him and it is so hard to get a hold of him any communication tips?
Welcome ADANF'SMom! Glad you found us
tigermom - Fingers crossed that you both are happy when he gets his orders. It's so much easier on us moms when we have happy sailors!
Joshmom - Thanks we will have a great time. Mom is hoping San Diego we have family there so when ever I start missing him lots I just have to pay for a plane ticket, lodging and car is with family. Last I heard he was ranked 3rd of 4th in his class so hopefully that will help. I know though he would also love Hawaii. He is more concerned about the type of plane he wants to be attached to.
Oh crap I just realized I commented about the get togethers on the eastern side - oops you ladies are on the west! Oh well you know where you are! Sorry about that
Welcome to Monday MO!
Yeah for you ladies on the eastern side of the state - love it that you are getting together so much!
boo2u2 - Konnichiwa! That's about the extent of my Japanese LOL (means hello) Hope things get better for your son, hate to hear of sailors having a hard time. I think Hendel's was the last get together. Yep we're way over due for a luncheon! Definitely going to have to work on this.
momof1 - good luck to your sailor in school. So nice to see them moving forward.
tigermom - have a great time in P'cola. We went down there when my son was in A school (he's ATI) and had a very fun mini family vacation. So glad you'll get to see him graduate. Getting orders is very exciting. Any place in particular he's hoping for? Keep us updated and fingers crossed he gets leave.
