Molly had the GREAT idea to send some N4M love to some of our military that are "hurting".
I am going to say that July 12 is the "birthday" of this endeavor. July 13 it got named!!
"M.A.S. Special Hugs" - M.A.S. - for Molly's Adopt a Sailor!!!

From Molly: Hey Moms ---- we are having some wounded guys coming our way. Would you like to make a thread and those who would like to send a card or messages to our wounded ones.

If you know of someone in the military "hurting" and needing a "special hug" - PM me (Brenda Sue) the address and I'll post it in our "special place." I do ask that you keep us updated on the condition or change of address of anyone that has a lingering need.

OK - Mom's let's get this ball on the roll!!

I am going to keep these names in one place - so people don't have to read through hundreds of pages to find them. Go to MAS We Ship Love (Click Here) for the addresses. This is a private group - just ask to be a member and after you have been "checked out" - the powers that be accept you!

Please use the labels designed in the "Shipping Labels" discussion so they will be easily recognized!!

You can either print these on stickers or just tape them to the envelopes. If neither is possible, just write Molly's Adopt a Sailor on the envelope - so they know where they are coming from.

Aw - Cindy, the way you posted is just fine. But can you get us an address so that we can send condolence cards to his family? Thanks!
Brenda: I have the address for the mom of the solider, killed last week in Iraq. They flew her to Dover this past weekend, to be there to receive her sons body. Keep her in your prayers, she keeps updating me and has not received any word when William will be in Birmingham, AL.

I am going to send you p.m. to give you her address!

Thank you-Cindy~Jordan's Mom
I got it and updated the discussion. Thanks so much. Without people like you (our eyes and ears) - this endeavor would not be possible!!
I mailed a pillowcase to Michael Sheppard today. working on getting him some visitors.
Sue, that is just awesome!! I don't know what I would do if my sailor were in a hospital in another state and I could not get there!! Well, I do know - I would come here and ask someone to be a surrogate mom for me!
Thank you Brenda Sue. I have found a contact thru a friend of mine in VA who goes to Michael's hospital on a regular basis to visit. He and his wife are going on Friday to bring dinner. They will visit Michael. AND, he has several friends in Richmond, whom he is asking to visit him on a rotating basis, so he has regular visitors.

So that is really exciting! And Brenda Sue, I would do the same thing if it was my son-ask someone else to be a surrogate mom for me.
are you interested on an Air Force man who has a rare form of cancer? I just got that name from a contact of mine.
Why sure!! We are here for any military that is "hurting"!!
Please get us an address.

ugh - school has started and I am behind on sending cards!
Brenda: You are a wonderful and caring soul...I just wanted to let you know how much you are appreciated...I am new to this group but, the caring, thoughtfulness, and true spirit here is like no other!! I joined Navy4Moms a year ago, Aug. 30th..one of those stumble upon!! It was so wonderful, to find somewhere to fit, mom's going through the same feelings. My son, Jordan had already been in Okinawa, a year. I joined groups but, none had that spirit, that fire to want to help! I would check back now and then..I so wanted to get my state, area involved, local moms...This group has but, the fire back in me....I am so happy to make so very small difference, it may just be one person..I touch an put a smile....What you do is so special...there are so many wounded, hurting, and grieving...to know someone cared enough to send a thought, a card, a note...Thank you..for reaching out :)...Cindy~Jordan's Mom
you are just tooo nice!! I'm priviledged to be able to jump in on this and get to play some small part.
Without all of you - none of this would be possible!!
Isn't that the truth??? You come here feeling like there is nothing you can do. Then you realize you can just do a little piece. Then other moms step in and all of a sudden we are a great force of love!

You moms are so special and wonderful... thank you, thank you to each and every one of you!
Brenda Sue, I have the address. Do I just put it here?
