OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

~Shipping~

Unfortuantley the Post Office site requires the Credit Card address to match the shipping "FROM" address!

So all the work that Pat:) and I have done with the site over the past 3 days is a Wash!

Does anyone have any advice on HOW we are going to SHIP boxes.

At this time Colorado and Illinois both have boxes ready to ship and it isn't an option for Molly nor I to fly to either one of those states and go to the Post Office with Chris and Pat!!...I know it would be fun but NOT doable!

these are some guidelines:

~Shipping MUST BE PAID for by Molly's Adopt a Sailor Bank Account

~We CANNOT, write anyone a check for shipping!

~NO checks can be issued to anyone personally!

~all funds for shipping MUST come from Adopt A Sailor

(get the idea?)

The post office has suggested "Shipping Assistant" or a 3rd Party!

That would involve, possibly paying MORE for shipping, is that an option, YES, quite possibly!

Does anyone know of a 3rd party that MAS can work with?

Ok let the HASHING begin Girls!

We truly need all Moms to help, any ideas?

Hi Gloria!! I get around ;) Why don't you email him this link for requests: /mollysadoptasailor.com/Request_Support.php
This months groups were Army and the other group Marines :) so to answer you YES Ma'am we do everyone ---we love them all :)
OF course we do Army..silly Gloria..we actually have an Army group this month...we do any branch of the military as long as they are deployed and would love some love of home!
Can you ask Pepsi how they think you should handle it or if they can modify the rules?
I take it that Pepsi pays for the postage only by reimbursing MAS after the fact? Is this the first packing party there has been since winning the Pepsi Refresh?
I will also check with our PO here. Since I and the local DAV has given them alot of business here with shipping to the Sailors. And my son's school districr here which only has 3 schools we are getting ready to do goodie bags for Christmas.
WOW LADIES go go go this is awesome !!!

We have to think of a way ---must must must ----and it must be a way for all , so though I like brenda sues loving idea that will not work for anyone not in Brendas area. We have to have it uniform 1 for all and all for 1
Sorry my dear friends but have to throw a few more clinkers into the situation! PLEASE keep in mind that no one wants these boxes on their way to our babies more than me.

1. Our post office is a huge regional center in Chicago so trying to get them to accept a check from out of state might be difficult.

2. Pick up at my house will only happen with online postage and printed customs forms.

3. Online cost $11.95 and at PO is $12.50.

Bottom line, I can round up some friends and do the customs forms by hand and lug 86 boxes to the PO but I'm sorry I can't front $1075.00
you cant front because we cant pay you back, This really blows --we will figure it out PROMISE
TRUST ME TRUST ME
I never ever give up ----we will do this somehow
Oh Molly darlin', I trust you and that we will find an answer. I was just thinking that I could rearrange the boxes in a pyramid and decorate them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Apparently my beta testing talents are minimal.
Pat...you are an awesome beta tester....and WHO ever said the words Test dummy? NOT ME
What about electronic funds transfer? Call the PO with the account number and authorize a withdrawal, or is this technically the same as a check?
