That's what I was thinking it was....but there's so much more I don't know than do know, lol! Mine is training with VQ-7. He'll be up flying in an E-6B. Will R be working on them on the ground?

Suzi - the squad Ryan has been assigned to, VQ-4, has their own shop where they work on the E-6B Mercury planes (sorry my earlier post does sound funny now that I re-read it). He won't actually be working in there yet because he said the Indoc classes are over 30days long; Friday is day 5 for him. But his Cheif told everyone in Indoc to come by the shop and shadow what's going on and ask question on their down time.

Alysia - what is the squad shop? Sorry, but have not heard about this/them.

Wear RED 'til they all come home!!

TGIF .....I hope your wearing your RED today!!

Talked to Ryan last night and he seemed to be a little more at ease. He finally got his ID card for clearance to his Squad's shop; no more escort. Then they got out early yesterday and his Sqaud went bowling on base.

Alysia....I know Lynch had sent Ryan a request on FB....so it's a start. You know how guys are, lol. My son communicates with us so much less than when at P'cola.......and I keep resisting the urge to question him daily.

Happy Thursday morning Tinker Moms.....

Suzi - I beleive Ryan & Lynch are now friends on FB....maybe they will find something to do over the holiday weekend. I know Ryan said he might be working on his truck some and change out his brakes.

My sailor is in his 2nd week of classes. First week started out slowly due to different ceremonies and I don't know exactly what else. He wants his motorcycle out there very badly. Was trying to figure out ways to get it. Since he can't come home now, looked into shipping it. Now he may get a bicycle to ride some trails, he says. I took off work tomorrow since we thought he was coming home......sigh, but will get an early start on the weekend with grandson. We are having a big family gathering here Sunday......now, without him. Well, he will keep accruing leave days!
