OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Thanks Keven!
Alana has 2 Annapolis grads in her class and 2 upper classmen are Navy. One of them is her school appointed mentor. He is a former OU wrestler, Alana played on the OU women's golf team. Her mentor has taken it upon himself to guide her thru the early days of med school and is taking her to Tinker to get her Navy ID.
Have a son in the wings that is pre-med at OU. Not sure what path he will take. However, if Alana's experience is positive, could be another Navy Dr. in the wings!
Funny how 2 lawyers have 2 kids that want to be doctors!! Then again, they are SMART(er)!
Have a good weekend!

Hey Girls, can I join?

My daughter received her Commission on Wed. We live in the OKC metro (Alana in Norman - OU, south suburb and I'm in Edmond - north suburb). She is technically "stationed" at Bethesda, with Orders to report to the OU College of Medicine for the next 4 years. I wanted to join your group in an effort to be of local (non-Navy) help/support for Moms at a distance with a son/daughter at Tinker.
